Student Testimony

Kyra Horlock (England) & Crystina Kertsos (Canada)

  • Exercise Science major & Business Administration - Finance major

The Lancer community has been very welcoming and allows us to feel a sense of home here at Longwood. As well, being part of the athletic community really helps too because of the amount of people you meet. We think that the Lancer community has taught us that you can always ask people for help. We've found that someone will always be willing to take time out of their day to help you and that's something we think everyone really appreciates here at Longwood.

Luckily, being on the golf team allows us to travel to many different places in the the USA. Also in the past, we have both stayed with our teammates' families for Thanksgiving to experience a real American Thanksgiving.

Some of our favorite events on campus are Oktoberfest and Spring Weedend. It is nice to hang out with friends and experience these events as they are just not a think back home.
